Ayla is a sweet, sensitive soul. She is highly attuned to her environment and takes time to adjust to new surroundings. She is an expert snuggler!

Ayla comes from Geronimo Golden Retrievers in Muskegon, Michigan. She is a very sweet girl, who always has something in her mouth to show you. She is the ultimate cuddle bug and loves hanging out on the couch to snuggle while we watch TV. Ayla is three days older than Waverly, and they are inseparable besties.
Ayla came to me because she was exhibiting some environmental fearfulness and an extreme fear of other dogs. She had been the keeper puppy from her litter, so when she began to display fear, the breeder made the difficult decision to place her. I offered to take her for 6 months for training and confidence building, and she very quickly wormed her way into my heart. I cannot imagine life without her now!
When she is feeling confident, Ayla is a whip-smart girl! She picks up new skills very quickly and is a breeze to train. She completed her Fetch Novice and Fetch Intermediate titles quickly and was not phased at all by the competition environment.
Ayla made her scent work trial debut in the fall of 2025. On the first day, she was struggling with the new environment but managed to Q in Buried. On the second day, she was much more settled in and got 4/4 Qs!
